Due to virtually no transfer of slag rich in alumina from ladle to tundish and the superior manufacturing capability of high grade special steel & alloys, a variety of billet/bloom/slab produced by the continuous casting machine with GG+TM Fulotic are of significantly higher quality.
With a noticeable increase in steel, ladle life is improved! likelihood of an early closure of ladle, reducing to zero the amount of precious steel wasted because of concern for slag accumulation. The same material, if used in the EAF or converter tapping, reduces slag tapping to less than 50kg/tapping, ensuring there is no obstruction of the EBT hole or oxide slag in the ladle, preventing the requirement for high de-oxidizer usage.
The using of GG+TM Fulotic reduces the quantity of slag to a minimum, so the steel purity is improved and the requirement of clean steel is met.
Avoiding the clogging of nozzle:- Slag entering the dish also attributes to the clogging of nozzle when the liquid steel is re-oxidized. The application of ladle slag detection system can reduce the happening of nozzle clogging.
Prolong service life of tundish and improve the continuous casting rate: - Slag?s entering the tundish erodes the tundish.
